FAVORS

When you advance in your guild to second circle, you should get a favor. As a first circle the gods allow you 5 deaths out of their kindness. You can DEPART and be returned to life. After the 5th death, should you depart without having a favor you may walk the Starry Road. Hence, you will no longer exist in these realms.

To earn a favor with a god you need to find the holy ruins out of the west gate. Head out the west gate, don't take the path to goblins, instead head northwest, west, and southwest. Continue in a southwesterly direction till you find the ruins called Siergelde's reach. Your route will involve some paths and trails, but critters are seldom seen on the way. A little attention to your surroundings and you will find the way into the ruins. Once inside, take a look around, the area is quite interesting. When you feel you have a proper reverence for the miracle about to happen, find the stones and pray. You will be asked by the gods as to which god you seek the favor from. You should declare the gods name then stand. The gods will take you to a special place where will find your favor ORB. You may take the orb but before you leave, you must perform a certain act to please them. A word of caution, until you please them that orb is not truly yours. So should you try to put it in your pack, it will break. They are fragile as well. If you drop it, it will break.

Once you have your favor orb and are back at the stones, you need to travel back to the city to the high altar at the temple ruins. You will need to prepare your orb to be sacrificed. In return the gods will grant you one favor. To prepare the orb you must rub it till you feel your sacrifice has been fulfilled. You are sacrificing some of your learning to the orb. When the orb is prepared you place it upon the altar. Should the gods be pleased with your sacrifice, they will take the orb and grant you a favor. Before beginning this adventure, you should visit the library and read the book called "The Immortals". You should know which god you intend to seek a favor with, else your trip will be wasted.
