Title Definitions


Alchemist: One who practices alchemy.
Alchemy: A medieval chemical philosophy having as its asserted aims the transmutation of base metals into gold, the discovery of the panacea, and the preparation of the elixir of longevity.

Apothecary: One who prepares and sells drugs or compounds for medicinal purposes.

Attendant: One who attends or waits on another.

Bonesetter: A person, especially one who is not a licensed physician, who sets broken or dislocated bones.

Caretaker: One that is employed to look after or take charge of goods, property, or a person; a custodian.

Caregiver: An individual, such as a physician, nurse, or social worker, who assists in the identification, prevention, or treatment of an illness or disability.

Counselor: A person who gives counsel; an adviser. One who gives advice about personal problems.

Empath: A person who displays empathy.
Empathy: Identification with and understanding of another's situation, feelings, and motives.

Healer: One that heals or attempts to heal.

Herbalist: One who grows, collects, or specializes in the use of herbs, especially medicinal herbs.

Kaith Partani: War Empath.

Kirmiko: Blood Master.

Medic: 1. A member of a military medical corps. 2. A physician or surgeon. 3. A medical student or intern.

Mender: One who mends or repairs.

Mercy: (One who embodies the qualities of) 1. Compassionate treatment, especially of those under one's power; clemency. 2. A disposition to be kind and forgiving. 3. Alleviation of distress; relief.

Nepenthe: Something that induces forgetfulness of sorrow or eases pain.

Physician: 1. A person licensed to practice medicine; a medical doctor. 2. A person who practices general medicine as distinct from surgery. 3. A person who heals or exerts a healing influence.

Restorer: One who restores.
Restore: 1. To bring back to an original condition; revive. 2. To put (someone) back in a former position.

Sensitive: 1. Having sense of feeling; possessing or exhibiting the capacity of receiving impressions from external objects; as, a sensitive soul. 2. Having quick and acute sensibility, either to the action of external objects, or to impressions upon the mind and feelings; highly susceptible; easily and acutely affected.

Sorrower: One affected by mental suffering or pain caused by injury, loss, or despair.

Sympath: One who exhibits the quality of sympathy.
Sympathy: 1a. A relationship or an affinity between people or things in which whatever affects one correspondingly affects the other. 1b. Mutual understanding or affection arising from this relationship or affinity. 2a. The act or power of sharing the feelings of another. 2b. A feeling or an expression of pity or sorrow for the distress of another; compassion or commiseration.

Teacher: One who teaches.
Teach: 1. To impart the knowledge of; to give intelligence concerning; to impart, as knowledge before unknown, or rules for practice; to inculcate as true or important; to exhibit impressively; as, to teach arithmetic, dancing, music, or the like; to teach morals. 2. To direct, as an instructor; to manage, as a preceptor; to guide the studies of; to instruct; to inform; to conduct through a course of studies; as, to teach a child or a class.

WoundBearer: One who bears, sustains, or carries wounds.
